Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan believes in imparting knowledge/values and nurturing the talent, enthusiasm and creativity of its students for seeking excellence through high-quality educational endeavours. In sync with the KVS vision and understanding that children’s brains need appropriate stimulation for optimal psychological, physical, social, and emotional well-being KV BHEL gives various opportunities to the students to participate in various levels of sports meets like cluster, regional, nationals and SGFI, science and social science exhibitions, extracurricular competitions, Olympiads, cultural events, Scout and Guide activities etc., but it sometimes leads to academic loss.
Compensation of Academic Loss Programme (CALP) is a unique school level programme to compensate for loss of studies of students in academic subjects due to participation in various activities.
At KV BHEL we have taken various initiatives under CALP programme thereby empowering students to succeed academically while pursuing their passions outside the classroom.
•Classes during morning assembly,
•Extra classes during vacations (autumn and winter break),
•Personalized study materials (which includes short answer, long answer, MCQs, assertion reason, diagram etc based questions) for the students,
•Frequent interaction with parents to monitor student’s progress,
•Remedial time table.
