Vidyanjali
The Vidyanjali portal is an initiative by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to connect schools with volunteers from various backgrounds, including young professionals, retired teachers, NGOs, and corporate institutions ¹. The name “Vidyanjali” comes from the Sanskrit words “Vidya,” meaning “correct knowledge” or “clarity,” and “Anjali,” meaning “an offering with both hands”.
Key Features of Vidyanjali Portal:
– Participate in School Service/Activity: Volunteers can contribute to school services and activities.
– Contribute Assets/Material/Equipment: Volunteers can donate assets, materials, or equipment to schools.
– School Login: Schools can log in to the portal using their UDISE code.
– Volunteer/NGO/CSR Login: Volunteers, NGOs, and CSR organizations can log in to the portal using their email or mobile number.
Objective:
The portal aims to strengthen schools through community and private sector involvement, promoting collaborative and inclusive education.
